Christine Mühlhan-Korner made this small bowl almost entirely out of real gold. The narrow black rim shows the colour that lies under the real gold and shines through the fine lines that are created by the crackle effect of the gold. The underside of the small bowl is black and has a slightly roughened surface. The gold is permanently fused into the glass. It is a decorative piece for a companion table or for holding special things, such as jewellery.
