Having studied visual communication and industrial design, Christine Mühlhan-Korner discovered glass fusing at an exhibition and was captivated by the technique and all the possibilities it offered. She decided to teach herself the art of glass fusing to combine her knowledge of design and her new-found love of glass. Thoughtful reading, practice and meeting glass artists brought her to open her own studio: she now specialises in making luxury one-of-a-kind glass tableware for prestigious restaurants and hotels as well as for private individuals. Experimentation and curiosity for the almost infinite possibilities of glass are central to her work that is meant to be not only visually perfect, but also the functional stepping stone for chefs to create their culinary art.
