Ghosts

This miniature architectural structure, crafted from mixed media including birch wood ply, plaster and gold leaf, draws inspiration from a late18th century French garden pavilion. Now deserted, the once-grand interior has fallen into disrepair. There is a palpable tension within the interior space, where abandoned items of everyday life, the ingress of plant life and weather, along with dust and insects, contribute to the haunting sense that something significant has occurred, and the former splendour is no more.
