Hvitserkur

Hvitserkur is a large rock in the sea, exposed to storms and seabirds, evoking a poignant solitude. It serves as the inspiration for this sculpture, made of assembled masses of clay. The piece is glazed with a layering of three glazes: wood ash, iron and clay. Its creation required two firings in a gas kiln at 1300°C.
