This knife is crafted from mixed media, featuring in-house laminated blades of wrought iron, stainless steel, nickel, and high carbon steels. The handle combines wind-felled Irish Wych Elm burl with salvaged Wenge, accented by custom mosaic pins. Sam strives to blend various techniques, both traditional and modern, allowing the story of each piece unfold. The different laminations within the blades highlight various functions and forms, reflected in the intricate craft of blacksmithing. Through forged work and meticulous finishes, he aims to convey the process from raw material to the final project.
