Les absents – Les ciseaux

This series consists of glazed stoneware tiles fired at 1080°C. The tiles are covered with imprints in relief of objects that belonged to the artisan’s grandmother. The imprints evoke an absence while at the same time conjuring up a singular presence. The tiles are made with a plaster moulding technique, the prints with a stoneware casting technique.
