The Unbearable Lightness of Being

This piece consists of individually blown glass tubes which are bound to a bundle and hung in the kiln where they are subsequently bent and slumped. Over a certain period, gravity and heat consistently change the shape of the piece. The tubes are slowly falling to the ground. During this transformational process, this body of flowing glass is cooled, and the state of flux gradually comes to an end.
