Experience the tradition of Czech glassmaking with a scenic backdrop of Bohemian countryside. The 45-minute guided tour, offered in English or Czech, takes you through the entire glass production process – from transforming sand into molten glass to handcrafting decorative pieces. Experienced glassmaker David Ševčík, will lead you to Ajeto Glassworks’ batch house where raw materials are formulated, the mould shop to view design templates, and the age-old fireclay brick smelters, where you witness the transformation of the raw materials into molten glass. You will then proceed to the 'cold shop' to observe the cutting and grinding of glass. The highlight of the tour is watching 20 glassmakers produce exquisite handcrafted pieces from a balcony overlooking the 'hot shop'. Conclude your experience at the adjacent Glassmaker’s Tavern, where you can enjoy traditional Czech food and beer while watching skilled glassblowers at work.
