Iemanjá, The Sea Queen

This sculpture depicts Iemanjá the revered Afro-Brazilian deity known as the Queen of the Sea. This piece is elegantly cast in white porcelain and created using a mould and liquid clay. The figure is adorned with original decal illustrations by Evelyn Tannus in fine black line work, and detailed with hand-painted gold accents. Gilding on the headdress, necklace, and sleeves reinforces her commanding, regal presence.
