Pensiero selvaggio

Pensiero selvaggio is a wall panel that is over two metres wide. It is made of hand-painted and glazed ceramic tiles, depicting half-human and half-animal, fantastical creatures. It is set in a lush natural landscape and is dominated by a smoking volcano. The title, which translates to Wild Thought or The Savage Mind, is a tribute to the work of the same name by the great anthropologist Claude Levi-Strauss.
