Vase Object

This raku object was thrown on the potter's wheel, in a tapering cone shape, forming a 'foot' at the base. The large middle section of the object was smoothed, polished, and covered with white glaze. This background developed a large, distinctive craquelé. The dark sections of the object are very rough as they are unglazed and blackened with smoke from the raku firing.
