Tea cups and vase

The technique used to create this ceramic vase mirrors the gradual shaping of a stone by the wind. Layers of grey clay in varying shades are joined together, resembling deposits of different stones, symbolising the vast expanse of time needed for such transformations. The small tea cups are inspired by the mindfulness and simplicity of tea ceremonies. The subtle notches formed in grey clay symbolise the limited number of sips needed to fully savour a cupful.
