Origins:Kaiku

This piece is inspired by the Basque Country's traditional Kaiku, a carved wooden container used for collecting sheep's milk. Yolanda Sánchez combines traditional handmade felting and contemporary techniques like laser cutting and 3D printed moulds. The appliqués, resembling milk drops, are made from reused merino wool felt, laser-cut, and hand-felted onto the container.
