Game of the Goose XVI, XVII, XVIII

The three panels are part of the collective embroidery project developed for Homo Faber 2024: The Journey of Life. The design created by Nigel Peake is inspired by the Game of the Goose, a popular board game that is thought to have originated in Italy as far back as the 15th century. In the game, Goose and Hazard cases symbolise the good and bad fortune that fate has in store for every human being.
