The Wreck Desk

The Wreck Desk is a piece born from Valentine Huyghues Despointes’ collaboration with Mobilier National for the project called Les Aliénés du Mobilier National. The piece fuses her childhood memories in Martinique with her passion for the oceans. Transforming a simple desk into a coral wreck, the artisan drew on her diving experiences to create a dreamlike universe, populated by gorgonians, fish and coral, where every detail is meticulously sculpted and sheathed in leather.
