Yearning to Breathe

This installation, made from freehand sculpted glass and mixed media, was modelled after The Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog by Caspar David Friedrich. It takes the child-like form of a person, holding a ragged teddy bear and looking out over a stream of Disney-like rubble with elements of life. A paper boat is chained to the teddy bear, signifying nostalgia holding us back.
