Agüita photo

This piece represents a typical peasant scene, called an agüita photo. It refers to when people who were getting married, or making their first communion did not have enough money to pay a private photographer, the town’s photographer would take a picture in the central square of the town. This piece was made by Cecilia Vargas' mother.
