Broinha rug

This rug is made by hand using excess polyamide spandex fabric disposed of by textile industries. Small cloth rings, which are very similar to the shape of broinha, a regional maize biscuit bread from Minas Gerais, are joined together one by one, to form the rug. For one square metre, 600 broinhas are required. The rug is water resistant.
