Small tablecloths

This series of small tablecloths can be used decoratively or to protect a larger tablecloth beneath. Ivančica Turković uses thread in earthy colours and a horizontal geometric pattern of square shapes in similar tones. The inspiration for these pieces comes from the traditional Podravina tablecloth. A technique of weaving is used where small boards are passed between the base threads, which determines the pattern.
