Elara lamp
This lamp is part of Mary Yamakawa's Brutalismo series. It carries aesthetic references to the brutalism movement of modern architecture that emphasised the "truth of materials,” so here, the ceramic does not receive any external glazing, presenting the material just as it is. A curiosity of the piece is that Elara is one of Jupiter's moons and was discovered in 1905. It also means "the one that shines."
