This sculpture is an unpolished lapis lazuli rock wrapped in copper wire. The blue of the rock is in dialogue with the orange copper wire that wraps it, generating a very striking pictorial vibration between the two raw materials. This volume is oval and irregular, perhaps like a potato. The technique for wrapping the lapis lazuli with the copper thread comes from basketry.
