Straw marquetry maker Kim Jordan based in the UK & French fellow Sandra Pinto
Master artisan Kim trained as a cabinetmaker in Paris and is pioneering straw marquetry in the UK by working with natural materials and innovative techniques. He seeks to grow both his business and his craft’s local profile through mentoring aspiring artisans.
Born in France to Portuguese parents, Sandra left a corporate career to pursue her fascination with straw marquetry. Since 2024, she has trained informally with Kim, gaining essential hands-on experience. Her aim is to launch her own studio and help establish straw marquetry as a recognised craft in the UK.
