Carrielarte opens its doors for visitors to discover the leatherworking trade demonstration of Rubén Darío Agudelo. His granddaughter, Alejandra Agudelo, explains the story of the leather satchel, the guarniel, which is an object that represents Antioquia’s culture and traditions. Visitors will also be able to observe a guarniel being made, a process in which 118 pieces and 12 compartments are assembled. They will learn about different types of leathers and traditions related to the usage of this symbolic satchel. A personalised visit to this workshop can also be booked by phone.
