Learn to make animal shapes out of clay in Temuco

with Gina Negroni

Make native Chilean wildlife figures

In this workshop, you will make an animal-shaped piece related to Chilean fauna. Animals such as foxes, alpacas, or pudus, as well as birds like pidenes, chucaos, torcazas, raras, patos pitrén, are good examples. A formal representation of these native Chilean species will be made using various modelling techniques, including pinching, coiling, and slab-building. Sketch studies will also be done, and great attention will be given to the finishing touches. Different surface treatments such as oxidation, glazing, gumming, and sgraffito will be explored. You will craft a medium-sized piece and ceramicist Gina Negroni will provide tools to ensure excellence in the modelling technique. The workshop will be divided into three sessions of 3.5 hours, allowing sufficient time and care for the finishing touches. This workshop costs 100 EUR per person, or 550 EUR per group of six people. Coffee breaks are included.
