Create a stucco flower in Gubbio

Try your hand at Italian fine stucco while visiting lovely Gubbio and its medieval center. Stucco artist Patrizia Ramacci will welcome you into her little workshop Gypsea in the heart of the city, where she’s been handcrafting decorative stucco art pieces for the last 30 years. After a brief introduction to her art, Patrizia will lead you through all stages of creation of a decorative sunflower: you’ll prepare the mixture of gypsum and water, pour it into moulds, wait for it to harden, then gild it with brass leaves, paint it with watercolour tempera, polish, antique and finish it. The result will be both a nice decoration for your home and a heart-warming memory of your visit to central Italy. The experience is suitable both for adults and children.
