Refectory Table
This is a Scottish Elm ten-seater dining table with wedged mortise and tenon joints on the legs. The form is pulled together using traditional joinery, creating a sturdy and durable table. Wedge 'keys' are knocked through the tenons to lock the pieces together. The wiggly feet are a playful reworking of traditional farmhouse tables found in antique shops in Hasting, East Sussex in the UK, where James Torble the maker lives and works.
