Learn to use a potter’s wheel in seven easy steps with Helen Green in the South of France. In a day you will learn the basics of throwing, which will then allow you to practise on your own, keeping in mind that it takes many hours of practice to succeed. The basics include preparing the clay, centering, opening the dome and raising walls, shaping the object, finishing touches, and last but not least breathing and a good posture. At the end of a day, you will have turned several cylinders and bowls which can then be fired. The price includes the clay and the first firing. For 6 hours of private tuition, Helen charges a special price of 240 euros.
