In this workshop, Elisavet Rodopoulou will share her family’s tradition of weaving. Participants will get a full immersion into the process of tapestry weaving according to the Tsakonian technique. They will have the opportunity to experiment with weaving on an old, traditional vertical loom and create their own woven piece by hand using local materials. The participants will also gain practical skills and knowledge of warping, loom set-up and weaving simple and geometrical patterns. The course is suitable for beginners and those with experience. The materials are provided, and price for children is 50 EUR.
