Get creative with porcelain workshop in Hamburg

with Silke Decker

Making porcelain objects by dipping materials into porcelain casts

Join Silke Decker in this three-day workshop, where you will learn about dipping materials in porcelain, creating corded porcelain objects, and combining cast porcelain with other materials. Whether you are familiar with ceramics or not, you will be able to quickly implement your own ideas, like making tea lights from moss, or bowls from wool. The first session is a 3-hour introductory session, taking place on a Tuesday. Over the following weekend, you will have a 7-hour studio session on Saturday and a 5-hour session on Sunday to make small samples from the materials brought, and will fire them to determine how they behave. By taking this course, you will learn about the materials available, their properties, and how to get an attractive, stable result. A few picture lectures for inspiration are interspersed with a little theory. Please note that this workshop costs 450 EUR per person and must be booked in advance.
