Karsaniko embroidery workshop in Lefkada

Embroiderer Eleftheria Logotheti, founder of Elixriso, invites you to discover her workshop, where fabrics and threads intertwine in the traditional karsaniko stitch. During your visit, Eleftheria will share the story of this unique embroidery technique, detailing how it originated on the island of Lefkada and by whom. You will gain an understanding of what makes this stitch so distinctive and how it rose to prominence. Following this, you will learn how to create your own piece using fabrics, silk threads, and the karsaniko technique under Eleftheria’s expert guidance. By the end of the course, you will have a small embroidered motif to take home with you. Please note that the workshop lasts three hours and costs 150 EUR per person. The day and time must be arranged in advance with Eleftheria.
