A dish, a household object, a piece of jewellery, a Christmas decoration or a figurine – it is entirely up to you what your very first ceramics creation will be. If you lack a specific idea, handling this ancient material for the first time is sure to give you inspiration. In this class for beginners, participants will realise how much there is to learn at this initial stage, from the consistency of the clay to the various modelling techniques. You may bring a picture or drawing of a design or shape that you would like to make, or else improvise under Olga's supervision. After drying, the objects will be fired in the kiln.
