Founded in 1990, Ofenbau Voppichler is a family-run kiln-engineering firm based in Egg, Bregenzerwald. The workshop has passed its expertise on to the second generation, continually advancing its knowledge and specialising in bespoke solutions crafted by the small team to meet unique client needs. Voppichler creates custom-made stoves using high-quality materials such as brass, copper, and stainless steel, along with regional resources like Austrian chamotte and stoneware in an effort to bring together the traditional and the modern.
Clean lines and natural materials reflect the firm’s commitment to sustainable, healthy warmth, symbolising a deep connection to nature. "A stove generally lasts longer than a house," says Simon Voppichler, the current managing director. "It makes sense to think about quality and design language, because it is a connection for life. For me, craftsmanship, design, and quality of life are inseparable." In the finished product, the smooth, handcrafted tiles and locally sourced natural stone radiate a cosy warmth that fills the space, offering a sense of security and grounding.
