What was the starting point for your designs?
I was cleaning our basement and I had an idea to make a lamp with glass and an old wooden album case, the basement was a great place to test lights and slowly the number of lamps grew, it became a business.
Do you consider lamp making a dying craft?
There are not many people who make lamps nowadays, I think it is never going to be a dying craft as the light is eternal. People always need lamps, and it is always going to be a demanded decor.
Are your lamps environmentally friendly?
I reuse wood, fabric, glass bottles and organic glass. I believe that one can make things without any budget by recycling things, it takes some time to experiment with recycling until it becomes sustainable.
How do you handle your main job and lamp art?
I started lamp making five years ago. I am a professional light engineer and I used to work for public TV as a light designer and engineer. I have now created my very own world of lights.
